As far as Kurayami's sexuality goes:
_{He scores a 8 on the kinsey scale, meaning he is gay but can and has 'casual dated' women before, just never got further than a kiss nor had any wanting to do so. Perhaps someone REALLY unusual could change his mind but so far probably not, and would end up with a guy.}

As far as desireable age range goes:
_{Kurayami is 22 but would not date minors and no-one too old like over 30 o.o so only within the acceptable age range.}

Kurayami's attracted to people who are:
_{Cheerful and outgoing. Yami tends to be quite solemn and somber and almost NEEDS someone to serve as the sunlight in the relationship. But when he is comfortable and relaxed enough to smile and god forbid LAUGH he can be affectionate and friendly.
Easy going or able to be tolerant of differences. Since Yami is not your typical guy and would be the first to admit privately that he is not suited to relationships currently right now...
Make him feel at ease and comfortable as well as safe. Biggie for Yami since he mistrusted so many people over the years, he would love to find more people than four to be able to trust right now...
Have cooking and housekeeping abilities. He has NO cooking ability beyond that of sandwiches and heating up ramen and frozen foods in microwaves since kitchen and computer appliances seem to hate him for the most part... Can sew and mend clothing from having to help his mother but is NOT neat nor tidy in his apartment even at the best of times (except in VERY rare cleaning binges he may undertake).
Mature and know what they want for the most part. He cannot deal with those who whine/complain/hold onto a messy past since he himself is having to deal with a messy past. He will not deal with insults or jibes and it takes rare teasing or rather trust of the person who is doing the teasing for him to accept it. Even then he bristles if touchy subjects are brushed upon.
MUST respect Yami's need for privacy and alone time... Basically good sense in knowing when to push it to get him to talk about troubles and when to leave it alone so as to NOT push too much when he is not ready to tell of it.}


Relationship-wise Kurayami is:
_{Reserved at the beginning. It is because he wants to find the ones that will last and the ones that are true [both friendship- and relationship-wise] and have the potential to be enduring. Not one to go hard and fast generally and may need time to come over to the idea.
Devoted and loving and affectionate when trusting the person. He may surprise people with how he seems to change from a reserved formal person that hates touch at the beginning to someone who likes to initiate touch of all kinds with the other eg: hugs, cuddles, hand-holding, kisses, ruffling of the hair, etc. Will never cheat on someone for when he goes into a relationship he commits himself to that one person.
Sweet and kind and considerate if given the chance. He's the kind of guy who wants to help those he cares about and doesn't want to see them sad or troubled in any way. Depending on how strong his devotion and trust, he may even be willing to lay down his life in a heartbeat if it means the person will be safe, and everything in between. He remembers likes and dislikes and will stay away from the dislikes and do more of what the other likes. The kinda guy to spill your problems to and get a soft gentle hug and whispered meant reassurances and help with them, and just to watch the sunset together.
Holding back, but Honest for the most part. He will be quiet and holding back things until he feels ready to tell of them to the other but what he does say is generally VERY honest and spoken of with the best intentions and wants for the other and for them both.}

_{Generally mistrustful at first and need to be gradually opened up and softened and shown that he can trust you. If you learn from him certain things that he holds deep and close to himself most of the time, then you are accepted into full trust.
Loyal and devoted to friends and family, the people closest to him. Will even readily die to defend them if it comes to that.
Cold exterior hides a soft gentle loving heart and he has been known to be very sweet and doing all he can to help the ones he cares about regardless of how that might make it difficult for him.
Deep and complex and may show his more volitile unpredictable inner self with those who proved they can handle him and what he brings to this. Has many issues to still work out and would be the first to admit that he is not perfect nor anywhere NEAR a "good" man from what he has done in the past...
Committed to the ones that passed the tests. Will do all he can to make those relationships stand the tests of time and tends to commit himself to one person at a time.
Generally quiet and not as inclined to make conversation but will do so out of politeness at first. But when he opens up he can even be surprisingly expressive and even random at times as part of his sense of humor that is normally under wraps with those he does not know.}
